Exceeded any expectation!
Fern Holt is a true gem, as are James and his staff. I almost want to keep this treasure a secret, but anyone looking for an ideal, rural retreat just outside London should experience it. From the grounds with a bountiful vegetable garden and chicken coup, to the pool, tennis court, lawns for cricket and play to the home which is artistically and perfectly fabulous, yet comfortably casual. Dreamy views from all rooms as far as the horizon takes you, it’s surely a memorable stay any time of year. We can’t wait to revisit time and time again!

We had the most perfect stay over New Years at Fern Holt.The house is stunning and so are the surrounding areas.We took a New Years Eve stroll down to the local village which was lovely.
James and his staff were the perfect hosts, keeping in touch throughout and accommodating all our needs.
We’re already planning our next visit!

We had the most wonderful stay and Birthday weekend at the property. James and his staff were perfect hosts—very friendly, helpful and welcoming, making us feel totally at home. Bedrooms were gorgeous and the wood fires were lit around the House in the evening. Everything was ready for us, and James and his staff made an incredible breakfast for us all too!
We will definitely return and can’t say enough nice things about our experience.

Fern Holt is an amazing property.We hired it for our wedding weekend as a base for the wedding party to get to spend some time together before the big day, as well as to have everyone get ready at the morning of the wedding.The pool was a big hit with everyone, and James and his staff made sure we had everything we needed.The house is clean, light and airy and the rooms are a great size and very comfy. Overall, we had an amazing stay and can’t wait for an excuse to come back!
